BAC Digital Arts Academy:
Pilot term
Storytelling Through Film
The Digital Arts Academy is a brand new programme for 18-29 year-olds who are living, studying, working or spending significant time in Wandsworth and want to develop practical skills in filmmaking. The programme takes place over 11 weeks between October and December.
We are looking for 10 young people to take part in weekly creative workshops facilitated by BAC staff, Ghetto Film School London alumni, Today @ Apple experts, filmmakers, and industry leaders. Participants can expect to learn brand new skills in storytelling, editing, operating equipment and more. Our Academy members will also receive an iPad, headphones and an Apple Pencil for the duration of the programme.
As the cohort develop their skills, they are also working towards creating their own short films. The programme will culminate with a private screening of everyone’s completed films held at Battersea Arts Centre.
Digital Arts Academy is part of BAC’s Next Gen creative engagement programmes for ages 11-29, supported by Apple.

We are looking for 10 young people to get involved in this pilot term to launch our brand new academy.
Whether you already have some creative experience, or if you’re looking to learn some brand new skills, we’d love to hear from you.
A key requirement is that you’re available for all the session dates, including the final sharing held at BAC. Apart from that, we are seeking people who are curious, motivated and ready to get stuck–in to a hands-on, dynamic and highly creative project.

Programme Details
Key dates and times:
- First session: Tuesday 6 October 2026
- Final session: Tuesday 15 December 2026
- Session time: 6-8pm
Location: Either Battersea Arts Centre or Battersea Power Station
Final Film Screening: Week commencing 15 December 2026, held at Battersea Arts Centre
Stipend: Participants will be provided a stipend of £30 for each session attended to cover costs associated with travel and their participation
Application deadline: 11:59pm on Sunday 6 September 2026.
