CALL OUT FOR 'AS WE RUN WE BECOME'

27 – 31 OCT

Are you a woman who spends time outside, running, walking, travelling around alone or with other women?

Artist Jenni Jackson would like to hear from you.

The Project

In the week leading up to her show Endurance, theatre maker Jenni Jackson invites you to take a journey with her to start the conversation about and with individuals who identify as women, who spend time outdoors alone, this may be as a runner, walker or however you move through the city and what it means to be taking up space in the world.

Who are we looking for?

Jenni wants to talk to all those who identify as women, of all abilities based in South London. If you have access needs and would like to take part, please let us know when expressing your interest.

You don’t have to be a runner to participate, whichever way you move Jenni would like to hear from you and take a journey together.

What’s it all about?

Jenni wants to gain a deeper understanding of how women move through public spaces, the challenges we face, and what we have to do to overcome these, and ask the questions where do we draw our inner resources and resilience from?

How it works

You will meet Jenni outside BAC where you embark on the journey together and discuss how you feel, where you went, what happened during time outside and how it feels to take up space as a women, along the way.

This will take around 30/40 mins. You will meet at Battersea Arts Centre and check in at our Box Office, then you will embark on a route starting at our building and around Clapham Common, arriving back at our building and signing out before you leave.

To sign up

Express your interest via one of the time slots listed on the google form below. Once done, one of our team will be in touch to facilitate your arrival. If you’re not sure where to find us – visit our How To Find Us page for directions.
