A unique interactive performance using the physical properties of rope and knots to explore desire, trust, consent and connection between artist and audience.

In rope bondage, a ‘Bunny’ is the person being tied, leading artists Daniel Kok and Luke George to ask: what if everyone in the theatre is a Bunny?

Reverberating with sensuality, Bunny unravels lines of connection, suspending tension and unleashing collective desire. Audiences will be invited to play an active role in the performance, becoming part of a carefully woven, interactive experience of sensation and attention.

Bunny asks audiences to reflect on how we hold one another, and what it means to do so together.

Biographies

Daniel Kok

Daniel Kok is a choreographer and shibari practitioner whose works deal with the politics of Spectatorship and Audienceship. As artistic director of Dance Nucleus (Singapore), he develops capacities for independent artists and trans-local partnerships in the Asia-Pacific.

Luke George

Luke George is a multidisciplinary artist creating work that spans performance, installation, craft and curation. Through this work, Luke examines the dynamics of intimacy and collectivity to create ‘safe spaces’ that allow for care as well as risk. Luke’s artistic practice is informed by queer politics and spaces, whereby people are neither singular nor isolated, and bodies of difference can intersect, practice mutual listening, and take responsibility for themselves and one another.

Part of Queer East Festival 2026, a cross-disciplinary festival that showcases boundary-pushing LGBTQ+ cinema, performing arts, and moving image work from East and Southeast Asia and its diaspora communities.

This event takes place in person in our Council Chamber. This space is on the first floor, with step-free access via a lift.

If you have booked a ticket you will receive an email from us before your performance detailing important information about your visit.
