Which actor would you choose to play your ‘DAD’ in an ongoing-never-ending-durational performance called ‘LIFE’?

In a ridiculous pursuit for connection, join lead HOLLLIDAY as they audition a group of actors to do just that. Blending live art, character comedy, and confessional theatre, DEAD DAD DEATH CULT is a playful exploration of paternal absence with a sizzling undercurrent of malaise.

Expect tightly woven chaos, a toybox of surreal voices and one very oblivious lead.

All DADs welcome and no participation required.

This performance is a work-in-development.

Biographies

Samra Mayanja is a London-based artist and writer. Her work examines the body’s illegibility and the absurdity of seeking what is inherently lost. Specifically a clown-like pursuit of the impossible. The theme of searching – futile yet hopeful – runs through her work. She blends sexy-gone-sour slapstick and poetic monologues, with tender vocalisations.

Samra has performed and exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and theatres, including Cambridge Junction, Transmediale (Berlin), The Oval, CLAY, Somerset House, Tetley (Leeds), MAMA (Rotterdam), Kampnagel (Hamburg), and LIVE Biennale (Vancouver).

VISIT OUR ACCESS PAGE

We want our shows to be as accessible to as many people as possible.

We offer tickets to most shows on a Pay What You Can basis throughout the year.

Tickets for Bloom performances in 2025 start at £4, and we have recommended pricing to help you choose a price that works for you.

We know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. If you can afford to pay the recommended price or more, choosing to do so supports those that can’t. It makes it possible for us to continue to offer Pay What You Can and welcome those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.
