Join us for an exciting Performative Lecture where artists will face off against Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Full Transparency: The Artist vs AI, will feature audience participation to prompt and shape ethical artistic guidelines for the future. Witness an improv ensemble, a painter, and a musician go head-to-head against AI to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
With your prompts – improvised scenes, live painting, and musical performances will unfold in a thrilling battle for supremacy. Can the artists outwit the machine, or will they need to embrace the very thing they fear most?
Our expert panel will dive deeper into the world of AI and shed light on the latest advancements and ethical considerations in AI technology. You can ask your burning questions, engage in lively discussions, and see AI in action like never before.
For this event we are asking for prompts from audience members for artists to respond to. Please add yours to the form below!

Produced by Jack Michael Carr
Jack Michael Carr is a theatre-maker interested in exploring play and the uncanny. In their work Jack would like to offer a space that asks challenging questions about being human and why we act in certain ways, examining the systems in society. Play and being silly are important to Jack even when serious themes arise, believing too much seriousness gets in the way of real political and environmental progress. As well as their 3 years at Wimbledon College of Arts in Contemporary Theatre, they studied the additional year Creative Computing at UAL, Camberwell. In their spare time Jack loves cooking, trying to play any instrument they can get their hands on and spending time with loved ones.

Jo Fraser (@zermela) – Born in the middle Iron Age, archaeologists estimate Jo has been influencing culture since at least the birth of the Buddha. After 2000 years of laying in wait for the world to be ready for his presence, Jo, in 2020, emerged from hibernation to crowds of thousands and quickly enrolled to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Only every interested in the weird, the funky, and the fabulous; in Jo’s current reincarnation he plays theremin and musical saw- and is learning glass harp. He continues to live and work as a performer/composer in London until he is once again called into secrecy. Jo also has 7 plastic children and counting.
Artist:
Jeffrey Choy (@jeffreychoy.art) – Visual Artist, designer, and writer born and raised in Hong Kong, Jeffrey Choy explores cultural / political biases in relation to class disparity and phenomenology of progression. Previously working in visual communication and spatial design in the commercial sector, his mediums span from visuals, set design, installations, and immersive new media.

Laure Barthelemy is an artist, curator and programme organiser based in London. Co-founder of the interdisciplinary collective Femanifesto and trained in interactive design at The Bartlett, she organises immersive exhibitions on vital topics and creates interactive installations that explore creative communities and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
