A new solo show exploring mass psychic reading to reveal how we, as an audience, unknowingly share similar experiences and thoughts.

Built around a classic psychic reading and a live text, Oraculum draws on the worlds of mind readers, divinators, and charismatic public speakers. By finding the profound within the repeatable and predictable, it reveals the unexpected connections between us.

Cassani turns an individual reading into a collective, self-reflective experience where unlikely connections begin to appear.

A script is read. We read each other. We read between the lines.

Biography

Tom Cassani is an award-winning UK-based performance maker working with choreography, magic, sideshow, and live art. For ten years Tom has developed a practice and toured performance work that draws on an expanded approach to magic, examining the nature of perception in performance. Cassani’s illusory texts, imagery and physicality expose the body as an unreliable measure of truth.

This event takes place in person in our Council Chamber. This space is on the first floor, with step-free access via a lift.
