The Fool leaves King Lear before the blinding. Before the ice-creams in the interval. In this extraordinary new solo work, Tim Crouch draws on ideas of virtual reality to send the character back to the wreckage of the world they left.

Truth’s a Dog Must to Kennel switches between scathing stand-up and an audacious act of collective imagining. It’s a celebration of live performance and a skewering of the state we’re in now.

‘Crouch is a master storyteller for our times’ ★★★★★ The Scotsman

‘the precision and intensity of performance erupting, ever so gracefully, into a mastery of storytelling’ ★★★★★ The Reviews Hub

‘hymn to humanity… to call it thought-provoking would be a criminal understatement’ All Edinburgh Theatre

‘An act of imagination in a world undone’ ★★★★ The Stage

★★★★ The Guardian  ★★★★ Telegraph

★★★★ Financial Times ★★★★ Arts Desk

We believe in making our shows accessible to as many people as possible.

We offer tickets on a Pay What You Can basis for the majority of performances throughout the year. Tickets usually start at £8, and we have recommended pricing to help you to choose a price that works for you.

We know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some, and the Pay What You Can model offers people who can afford to pay the recommended price or more the chance to support others who can’t.
