Join one of the UK’s most innovative dance organisations Impact Dance for a week-long series of workshops and dance sessions focused on being your most outrageous self this half-term.
ERUPÇÃO (Eruption): coletivA ocupação
SCREENING & DJ PARTY
7 APR | 7PM – 11PM | FREE
Join us for a drink in the Freedom Taproom to celebrate the launch and first screening of coletivA Ocupação’s latest film project ‘ERUPÇÃO’. Hang out with some of the artists and creatives presenting in Homegrown 2022, and party to a live DJ set from Brazil by DJ Shaolin and DJ Akinn from coletivA Ocupação.
DIGITAL WORKSHOP
7 APR | 4PM – 6PM | FREE
Join coletivA ocupação as they share practices used in the group’s new creation process, developed online over the last two years during lockdown. Using a combination of writing, movement & discussion exercises – this 2 hour online workshop aims to explore the question: How do we transform the present and create a new world?

LEON DOUGLAS: 3D PRINTING WORKSHOP

Learn how to create a 3D model and print your own sculpture in a colour of your choosing.

DJVINE: THE MIC IS YOURS

Write, record and (if you’d like) perform your very own track with the guidance of SpotTheLightUK.
“Hi, my name is Divine, also known as DJvine, CEO of SpotTheLightUK with my partner Jeriah. Join us for a producing workshop where we’ll talk you through writing to recording your very own song.
You can take your recorded track home with you after your session, and, if you would like, debut your song at the Homegrown Screening Party in the evening.”

These residencies will take place in our Members Library.
This space is on the first floor, with step-free access available via a lift. Please let us know of any access requirements detailed in your sign-up form and one of our team will be in touch.
